70 year-old female running pioneer Kathrine Switzer returned to the Boston Marathon today (the 50th anniversary) to again compete in the race.  She fearlessly entered the Boston Marathon in 1967 when women were not allowed to enter the competition. Her race number (261) was officially retired after the race.  She finished the marathon in 4 hours and 44 minutes - which is just 24 minutes slower than she ran when she was 20 years of age.  She is AMAZING.
